4.5.3 OSHA. Acceptable evidence of meeting the requirements of OSHA shall be
a certificate of compliance certifying that the drying tumblers being furnished
under this document conform to the applicable requirements for laundry equipment
29 CFR 1910.264 of OSHA Standard. The Government reserves the right to check
test such tumblers to determine the validity of the certification,
4.6 Methods of inspection. Commercial power source and No. 2 diesel fuel
shall be used for the applicable tests.
4.6.1 Endurance test. The drying tumbler motors shall be check-tested for
proper motor rotation. Motors with improper rotation shall be corrected, Each
dryer shall then be loaded and operated (see table 111) at a rate of four drying
cycles per hour. Any nonconformance with the requirements of 3.6.1 shall
constitute failure of this test.

4,6.2 Drying test. Each drying tumbler shall be loaded and operated (see
table IV) at a rate of five drying cycles for each material. Any nonconformance
with the requirements of 3.6.2 on 80 percent of the cycles shall constitute
failure of this test,

4.6.3 Door switch test (activation prevention), With the door open push the
start switch. The burner shall not turn on and the tumbler shall not be
rotating. Any nonconformance with the requirements of 3.6.3 shall constitute
failure of this test.
